At AASHA we believe that a strong foundation supports lasting structures and this is what guides the development of new programs.

AASHA’s foundational English programs enable organic acquisition of language by first generation learners.

Our reading program was created after four years of research and is based on a holistic approach to language learning.

We examined many methods of teaching and explored textbooks prescribed by the best schools, reviewing their efficacy in helping the children we teach. Where we found gaps and lack of suitable material for first generation learners, we set out to bridge the gaps and create material.

Courses on curriculum development from Azim Premji University and teacher training courses from Jolly Phonics UK prepared us for our work of creating and curating a suitable curriculum and quality teaching material.
